Advising on Career Management Model Design

Project Overview

Service: Specialist advice

Sector: Government (via an international consultancy)

Year: 2021–2022

Duration: About one day a week over several months

The Challenge

An international management consultancy engaged me as a specialist consultant to support a government client's revamp of its career management model, drawing on my knowledge of the Australian career management system.

My Approach

I worked roughly one day a week over several months, giving direction and advice as the project team worked through each stage, and structured feedback once draft deliverables were produced.

The Outcome

A career management model redesign grounded in a proven external framework, delivered through a small, high-leverage advisory role rather than a full-time engagement.
